The user launches the application Run Statutory Reports (EN: Executing statutory reports) in SAP Fiori. He then selects the JPK report he is interested in (for example JPK_VAT, JPK_KR_PD, ST_KR) and reporting period.

What is DRC and why is it worth implementing in SAP?
SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (SAP DRC) is a comprehensive solution that supports companies in meeting local reporting obligations – including the generation and management of the Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T, known in Poland as JPK). This module also handles processes related to the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF), enabling organizations to use a single, integrated tool for managing digital tax reporting.
The solution is fully integrated with the SAP S/4HANA system, which means that JPK files are generated and validated directly based on the data recorded in the system – without the need for additional applications, integrations, or manual data exchange. The entire process runs automatically and in compliance with current regulations.
According to SAP’s official roadmap, the functionality for sending JPK files directly from DRC will be made available in Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 (depending on the system version).
Currently, SAP DRC is available for the following environments:
Beyond meeting formal requirements, SAP DRC also supports a strategic approach to the digitization and standardization of financial processes. This solution enables quick adaptation to changing local regulations while maintaining compliance with SAP global standards and ensuring consistency of IT infrastructure across the entire corporate group.
All operations related to handling JPK within SAP DRC take place directly in the SAP S/4HANA system, without the need for integration with any external tools.
The user launches the application Run Statutory Reports (EN: Executing statutory reports) in SAP Fiori. He then selects the JPK report he is interested in (for example JPK_VAT, JPK_KR_PD, ST_KR) and reporting period.
The system generates an XML file based on the data posted in SAP. It is possible to run runs repeatedly - e.g. after changes, such as the posting of documents to the reported reporting period or the completion of missing descriptions.
Formal validation is performed in SAP DRC (e.g., the presence of required fields or the assignment of a financial tag for KR_PD is checked), and its detailed results can be seen in the error or warning log.
In case of errors or warnings, the user can go back and complete the data. The process can be repeated any number of times until the report passes validation.
At the moment, JPK file upload directly from DRC is not yet available (planned for Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 according to SAP roadmap). Currently, the user can:
for medium and large companies operating in Poland that are required to submit JPK files.
for international organizations with entities in Poland.
for companies using SAP S/4HANA (on-premise, RISE, GROW).
for corporate groups that want to standardize tax reporting across different countries.
for companies focusing on digitization, automation, and regulatory compliance.
Automation and standardization
Simplification and acceleration of processes through their standardization and automation
Greater tax transparency
Better control over data and compliance of reports with tax authority requirements
Less risk of non-compliance
Ongoing adaptation to changing regulations and reduction of penalty risk
Consistent IT environment
A unified reporting infrastructure across different countries and business units
Currently, most JPK structures are available on SAP S/4HANA and Cloud Private Edition. The exceptions are the KR_PD and ST_KR structures, which for the Public Edition are expected to be available in Q3 2025.
No. SAP DRC is only available for SAP S/4HANA systems (on-premise and cloud). If you are looking for a solution for JPK CIT on SAP ECC, see our proposal.
The solution is supported from SAP version S/4HANA 105 upwards. We recommend regular system updates.
SAP DRC for JPK typically takes 2-4 months to implement, depending on the scope and number of reports.
