SAP Embedded
Analytics
Analytics built into S/4HANA
Reports and KPIs where the data is created.
No copying it into a separate BI system.
Where does Embedded Analytics work best?
- you are planning or currently running an SAP S/4HANA implementation and want to use its analytical capabilities from day one
- you have no dedicated BI tool, or you want to reduce its cost and complexity
- you rely on Excel for reporting and want to replace it with one consistent solution inside SAP
- you already run S/4HANA but have not yet rolled out SAP Fiori and Embedded Analytics
- you primarily need access to data rather than an elaborate visualisation layer

Real-time data
The report reads data directly from the source, without an intermediate layer and without delay.
Faster business decisions
The user checks the indicator on their own, exactly when they need it.
No additional BI licences
The solution works within your existing SAP S/4HANA licence.
Consistent reporting
One definition of each indicator applies across the organisation, without versions circulating by email.
Reports directly in SAP Fiori
No switching between systems and no separate login.
Standard plus custom CDS views
The balance depends on how far your processes differ from the reference model.

FAQ
How is Embedded Analytics different from external BI?
An external BI tool retrieves data from SAP and stores it in its own environment, which requires integration, refresh schedules and maintenance of a separate platform. Embedded Analytics works on data that remains in SAP S/4HANA, so reporting happens without duplicating data.
Does Embedded Analytics require an additional licence?
No. Analytical functions are part of SAP S/4HANA, so you use the licence you already have. The project cost is the cost of implementation and configuration, not additional software.
How long does an Embedded Analytics implementation take?
We launch the Foundation package from 2 weeks and the Advanced package from 4 weeks. These are minimum timelines, and the actual schedule depends on the number of reports, the state of SAP Fiori configuration and the scope of CDS view work. We define the specific timeline after the analytical workshop.
What are CDS views and do I need them right away?
CDS views are a virtual data model that transforms transactional data into an analytical structure. SAP delivers some reports as standard content based on this technology, so ready-made content is often enough at the start. We build custom CDS views when the standard does not cover your processes.
We have S/4HANA but do not use SAP Fiori. Is that a problem?
No, this is a typical starting point. SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration and tile preparation are included in the Foundation package, so launching the interface is part of the project, not a requirement before it starts.
Can Embedded Analytics replace our Excel reports?
In most cases, yes, as long as the data comes from SAP. We replace manually built summaries with SAP reports and dashboards that share one common definition of indicators. Export to Excel remains available where a file is needed for further work.
Will users be able to work with the reports?
Reports open in the same SAP Fiori interface they use every day, and filtering or saving personal views does not require technical knowledge. Training for users and administrators is part of every package.
