1 week, 3 cities, 30 hours on planes, over 500 innovators and business leaders, 20 European networks, 28 European startups, scaleups and SMEs presenting their solutions, countless ideas, endless meetings – this is how the Tech Bridge Europe-China program including the Global Innovation Summit 2019 and the Sino-European Incubation and Acceleration Platform can be summed up in numbers.

Global Innovation Summit & Delegation to Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai are international meetings of business and innovation leaders, a valuable networking opportunity, as well as a chance to share knowledge, experiences and ideas. The purpose of the events is creating value by supporting business development for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in China with a focus on areas of advanced materials, manufacturing, mobility, machine learning, and e-health.

We started with the introduction of incubation opportunities for European companies in Beijing, where we got familiar with the business culture in China and learned the best practices established by the leaders of the most dynamically developing market of new technologies. We continued with the Business Summit organized by InnoEU with JingCheng Innovation and representatives of the Beijing business ecosystem.

Soon we put into practice again everything we learned in Beijing and trying to realize the possibilities of international cooperation in Chengdu Pujiang, where we had the opportunity to present our ideas within the Sichuan region business platform…

…as well as 2 days later in Shanghai Hi-Tech Park during the event hosted by the InnoEU, Humboldt Innovation, GIS, and Shanghai Zhangjiang Group.
Łukasz Radomski, CEO of Apollogic and VP of apoQlar, presented our skills of combining mixed reality with AI in the Health Industry that is being developed among others in our German office. Using VSI Evolving Hospital and HoloLens mixed reality glasses, physicians can plan operations, compare patient anatomy with CT, MRI, and other medical images, document procedures, and support the training of assistant doctors.

A great opportunity was to learn more about the Zhangjiang Smart City initiative located in the middle of Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Zhangjiang AI Island is a unique place to find unmanned vehicles, intelligent underwater machines, safety robots, and many other examples of advanced technology. Artificial intelligence solutions developed on the AI lsland are used in schools, hospitals, banks, and transport. During numerous mid-event talks, we shared our experience and approach in the area of artificial intelligence projects that we run as TheBlue.ai brand as well as IoT solutions that we introduce as RapidLab.io for European and American markets.

During the Global Innovation Summit Event, the opportunity for networking with representatives of SAP China and Microsoft came up, which is of significant importance for us due to the long-term partnership of Apollogic and SAP and the cooperation of apoQlar with Microsoft.
The Summit aims to build a platform for cooperation between China and Europe on innovative entrepreneurship. The visit to Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai is an excellent starting point for entering the Chinese market and connecting to the Chinese business ecosystem. We are proud that our ideas and project have been met with such warm welcome and encouraging support and hope that this event is the beginning of numerous future business relationships.
