SAP Analytics Cloud is a Business Intelligence tool, constantly improved and enriched with new features. As it does every quarter, SAP has released a list of functionalities and the latest SAC enhancements. In the following article, I present the most interesting ones. Predictive Planning and the impact of cycles on forecasting

Forecasting plays a crucial role in business management. So the quarterly release couldn’t skip this area. A new chart has been added to predictive scenarios, allowing users to better understand cyclical patterns in their company, such as the impact of different periods on forecasts, among other things. From the detected cycles, it’s easy to switch to the impact of each time cycle value on the predictive forecast.

Improved filtering

In Q4 2022, SAP is announcing another improvement to Stories, making it easier for users to navigate filters. The feature, although, only available as part of the Optimized Story Experience, allows grouping of other filters in a single drop-down menu.

Multi Actions – RESTful API Step Type

Starting in Q4 2022, users can integrate external applications running locally and in the cloud using the http API. This interface enables using triggered events in SAP & non-SAP systems, as well as the external application calls with in-application execution, including: data actions, predictive forecasting, and data import.

Value Driver Tree (VDT) – Drill Into

Added to Value Driver Tree visualization, a new feature allowing to select levels of dimensions, is an exciting update, helping to understand which factors affect the final result. An intermediate node can be selected for dimensions, and the entire subtree is copied for each selected element of dimension. The filters then work for the whole visualization. In addition, based on the intermediate nodes, you can choose to create VDT automatically.
