Want to get the most out of SAP Analytics Cloud? The key is to regularly keep up to date with the latest updates from SAP. In this article, we’ll take a look at three of the most exciting enhancements coming in Q2 2024 to help you use the tool even better and more efficiently.
Just Ask – addition of labels to model names
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the hottest topics at the moment. Just Ask is a feature that allows users to ask questions in natural language using AI. Introduced in the first quarter of this year to SAP Analytics Cloud, it allows users to send queries in English to data models available in both SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
Until now, searching for ready-to-use models was only possible by name. This quarter, the ability to assign labels to models has been added so that users will see categories such as marketing, sales, forecasting and others in addition to names. This additional information will make it easier for users to select the models best suited to their needs.
Charts – more options for applying data ranking
There are many benefits to displaying data ranking, especially in the context of charts and data analysis. By using it, it is easier to identify key data elements, such as the most important customers or the highest sales.
The option to display the ranking therefore allows for better visualisation of the data, focus on the most important data and draw conclusions from the data more quickly. This option has been enhanced this quarter. From this quarter onwards, the user has the option to decide where to place the ‘Other’ group (if any) and therefore whether to display ‘Other’ at the end of the list (Top N) or at the beginning (Bottom N), which gives more control over how the data is presented. The ability to rename ‘Other’ added this quarter allows the ranking labels to be tailored to the specific needs of the user or the context of the analysis.
Presentation mode (Unified Story Presentation Mode)
Presentation Mode aims to bring the key features available in the Digital Boardroom directly into Story 2.0 (Optimised Experience). Among the most important of these are:
- Importing pages – this function allows quick and easy reuse of content from other existing stories which allows visualisations to be focused in one place and presented more easily,
- building a presentation structure: the structure can be flat (default) or tree-like (with topics and sub-topics), allowing for better structuring and organisation of content,
- customising the presentation mode: the configuration option includes a toolbar, a default browser and a navigation panel (side panel navigation), allowing personalisation according to individual user needs.
Summary
The features described above are just some of the many enhancements and new developments introduced to SAP Analytics Cloud this quarter. A full list of updates can be found by visiting SAP.
