Half-marathon in Poznań – our impressions!
We like to spend time with each other in Apollogic – not only in terms of work, but also outside of it. It often happens in an active form. On 17 April a couple of people from our company took part in the run. Here are their impressions:
„The 9th Poznań Half-marathon was my second start at that distance. I debuted two years ago, also in Poznań. I started preparations for this run last year by running on a regular basis 3 times a week. Sunday’s weather wasn’t the best you can imagine but I find the competition successful. Although I didn’t cross my 2 hours boundary I am motivated to work harder and to prepare for another starts.” Marta Samól, SAP BI Consultant
“The last half-marathon was my second biggest start because I’ve completed Poznań’s Marathon. However, it was my first time running in the rain and my preparation left a lot to be desired as well. Long story short – it wasn’t easy. Fortunately, I was motivated by my fiancée (she ran with me). We were each other’s support. Obviously, I couldn’t let her down J Also, my strong will and my ambitious attitude I am cultivating when climbing a wall with my colleagues were of great help.” Jacek Rosik, Big Data Team Leader/ BI Consultant
“This was my 6th half-marathon and definitely not the last one. It is a perfect way to prove oneself everything is possible. Regular training not only allows one to prepare for this challenging run which Poznań’s Half-marathon is. It also helps to understand that only thanks to systematic work you can accomplish something. I can recommend taking part in the next edition of this event to everybody!” Piotr Wesołowski, Business Software Developer
„That was my fourth time running in Poznań Half-marathon, but first running in such weather conditions. Although starting with 11 thousands of people released so many positive emotions that weather didn’t matter. I find my score satisfying and I am waiting for next year’s edition, in which I will try to achieve even better result. I can surely recommend starting in this the next edition for everybody who are hesitating!” Roman Wesołowski, Big Data Consultant
„I live near Malta Lake so when it got warmer, I started running in the neighborhood. What I liked the most at the Poznań’s Halfmarathon was a very positive atmosphere, a large dose of motivation and, above all, the people. Thanks to that, even the rain wasn’t demotivating J Apart from running and playing basketball, I am also a water guard – because of it I swim a lot. Recently, I have been cycling – maybe I will take part in a triathlon in the future J This year, I am also participating in two steeplechases: Men Expert Survival Race in Poznań and the Run of the Marine Commando in Gdynia. I highly recommend such events to people looking for extreme experiences in sports!” Lucjan Łajło, SAP CRM Consultant
