In times of crisis, we do not focus on limitations but look for solutions
The beginning of the year is a time for every branch of business to summarize, plan new investments, look for development opportunities, and estimate perspectives for the coming months. Just six months ago, we didn’t expect the reality that we would soon be living in. The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus raises a number of questions about the effects of the global crisis on business and commits to taking appropriate measures to minimize them.
At Apollogic, the basis of strategic management during the pandemic is to ensure the employees’ safety. Working in a mixed model – partly remotely and partly at the company’s office – isn’t new to us, but in order to provide our specialists with the comfort and possibility to take care of children learning from home, we have decided to move all teams into the remote-first model. At the same time, this new challenge was an opportunity to develop new methods of cooperation – from internal communication, through contact with clients, fully remote recruitment, hiring new employees, to onboarding.
Many years of experience in supporting organizations in carrying out the digital transformation, implementation, and maintenance of technological solutions led us to continue the projects we have started so far without any interruptions.
Together we decided that this was the right time to continue our corporate social responsibility activities. We discussed the areas where support is needed and agreed to use our technological potential to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. We have joined the group of companies that are involved in helping people, organizations, and institutions that are most affected by the crisis.
With the commitment of IoT Engineers from RapidLab and by using 3D printers, we were able to support professionals on the front line of the fight against the pandemic by providing protective face shields for doctors, nurses, and paramedics from Greater Poland.
It isn’t the only initiative using the latest technology to protect medical staff and patients.
To support and assist clinics and doctors in overcoming the challenges of COVID-19 the apoQlar team has developed a cutting-edge Pandemic Package solution using mixed reality capabilities to remotely diagnose patients, which simplifies the exchange of information between experts of different specialties, provides the highest standard of medical care, and prevents specialists from being excluded from work due to quarantine.

Apollogic’s IT administrators have decided to help students, teachers and lecturers to switch to online learning mode by offering free support in the implementation of Office 365 A1 service, provided by Microsoft. Remote education requires appropriate computer equipment, and since not all Poznań students have the necessary tools to learn, we took part in the charity coordinated by the Educational Department of the Poznań City Hall, where companies, institutions and individuals donate desktop computers, laptops and tablets to Poznań schools.
As part of the initiative, we provided support for Microsoft services for schools from Greater Poland (SP2 and SP3 from Oborniki) and Pomerania (SP in Bonin). The Gajusz Foundation has also received our support. The experience we have gathered allowed us to conduct a series of many hours of training on the use of Microsoft 365 platform for learning and remote working. The institutions supported by us have thus acquired a unified system of communication and information exchange, which has made it easier to perform daily tasks while working remotely. Of course, our support will continue to provide further digital transformation to educational establishments and NGOs in need.
