Another bill drafted by polish legislators is the obligatory verification of bank account numbers of companies customers. Apart from checking the registration status of the company, the entrepreneur will also control whether the bank account number on the invoice is the same as the one related to his customers business activity. Information about the bank accounts, as well as other taxpayer’s data, will be stored in a new database, the so-called white list, managed by the Polish National Revenue Administration. The obligation will be active as early as September 2019.
Polish VAT white list – are technological regulations already known?
We already know the technical details of the white list of VAT payers. The Ministry of Finance has released an internet service (API) of the White List, which enables mass and automated verification of NIP and taxpayer account numbers. It is particularly important for medium and large enterprises carrying out a large number of transactions. Knowing the technical details related to the white list has led us to build a solution that allows avoiding additional administrative procedures.
How to check whether a business partner is an active VAT taxpayer?
Apollogic VAT Checker allows you to check in real time the status of taxpayer registration in the Ministry of Finance databases and in the VIES database (VAT information exchange system for EU numbers). It handles standard transactions for supplier’s and recipient’s primary data, entering invoices, as well as verification of VAT registration numbers. It is planned to extend the functionality of the solution by adding bank number verification module. The new version of the solution will be available shortly after the act becomes effective.
