Apollogic on Employer Branding Days!
On 14th of January an Employer Branding Days conference was organized in Poznań by job portals: Absolvent.pl and Pracuj.pl and Bespoke event agency. It took place at the very special spot for people living there – at INEA Stadion, on which Lech Poznań plays its matches.
Event was totally dedicated to employer branding – all activities undertaken in order to shape image of an employer. Main themes brought on during conference referred to creating recruitment strategy, building attractive program of internships and practices and analysis of case studies on particular examples describing planning and implementation of EB strategy.
For me, as for a person working in Marketing Department in Apollogic, it was particularly interesting to take part in a Q&A session with Maciej Hassa – Manager of Employer Brand Team in PZU. During discussion I was able to get to know about the problems that PZU faced while implementing EB strategy, what were the first steps in implementation process and how does current activity in this matter look like in the company. Widely analyzed was also the subject of social media, which plays essential role in supporting recruitment in PZU. Presently in Apollogic we are working on our social media channels development, in which we are planning to publish information about newest job offers and other interesting news for people considering applying for a job in our company. Mentioned activities will be aimed to attract not only people starting their professional careers but also to specialists interested in working in IT.
Lecturers during conference emphasized that it is possible to implement effective employer branding strategy only if there is a cooperation between two departments: marketing and HR. Another crucial thing is connection of activities in online world such as social media with ones in offline world, in which activity may be carried out by taking part in job fair. Next notable topics were also current trends in employer branding, which in Poland are connected most of all with increase in hiring foreign students and using Internet as a main recruitment tool.
Without any doubts, speeches of all speakers are of a big motivation for continuing employer branding activities, that company is working on for some time now.
EB Days – thank you for a big dose of inspiration! I am waiting impatiently for the next edition!
